First: Unbelieviable view to the ocean on the front side! Perfectly situated! on the front a perfect view to the ocean and very quiet for a good sleep, and backwards near to the town, a supermarket and bars are very close. This side is a little louder at night but still comfortable. The beach and town are great for families or couples. we had the best time here and really want to come back!! thank you Turzain for the great communication and care of us.

Stayed 2 weeks in July. Flat has spacious terrasse with ocean view. Very well equipped. Host very helpful. Personally, I would have preferred softer beds – but that is a personal preference.

Great apartment with frontal see view and huge balcony. It is in the centre of Costa da Guia and probably is one of the most prestigious blocks there. Hosts where great and helped with all the problems we had. Very nice experience.

We are four Americans (two married couples) in our early sixties or early seventies in age. We have all traveled internationally extensively for business and pleasure. We rent apartments or condos where we can cook and where we can either walk or use public transportation to get around. Because we’re all watching our diets, we especially like access to a fully equipped kitchen and to convenient, reasonable grocery stores.
We found this place to be highly compatible with our needs and interests. It was very clean and well-equipped. It had excellent internet access. The kitchen had nearly everything we wanted in terms of tools, pots/pans, grilling utensils, etc. We very much appreciated that Zain included a nice basket of fruit and other things to help us get started. This kitchen was as well-equipped as we’ve seen in a rental unit and we definitely appreciated the clothes washer (which was located in the kitchen), the dishwasher and the nice-size refrigerator. There was adequate laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent so we didn’t need to purchase either during our week stay.
There are only a few things that might have made it even a bit better. Because we all like perked coffee, we would have preferred a Mr. Coffee or some other type of coffee machine to make coffee. (This is something that most Americans would like to have and it is always available in American apartments or condo rentals…maybe Europeans don’t prefer these). The bathrooms might have had some type of slip-preventing strips in the tubs or perhaps bath mats, as the bathtubs were quite slippery. Bathrooms might have also had a few towel bars for hanging up wet towels. Also, a few more wastebaskets, such as in the bedrooms and the living room, would have been convenient.
We had the pool area to ourselves on many days. We loved the walking paths by the ocean, which we used extensively. We especially enjoyed the large and well-equipped deck/patio area overlooking the ocean where we ate nearly every meal. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance but we chose to cook at home mostly because we enjoy it and we’re watching our diets. The great large screen TV made it easy to watch the Olympics, taking place while we vacationed.
If you prefer ocean swimming to pool swimming, you need to go to a swimming beach, as there is not one directly available in front of the unit. The beaches in the heart of the little town of Cascais are beautiful and we walked to and from the town on many days to get excercise. But bus service is good, frequent and cheap. There are also beautiful beaches going the other direction from the condo that are accessible by bus or within a quite long walk (which we did on one day)
Zain herself is a major asset to this rental unit. She was helpful responding to my many emails prior to our arrival and was very friendly, responsive and accommodating during our stay. She gave us a brief car tour early on so we could get the “lay of the land” and offered to drive us other places, which we chose not to take advantage of. We all really appreciated how helpful she was.
We would recommend this unit enthusiastically to others. The price was somewhat higher than we normally pay but we felt it was worth it, given its location, level of cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, etc.
We spent most of one day in Lisbon and that was sufficient for all of us. Coming home to our comfortable, serene condo after the intensity of Lisbon was delightful and we knew we had made a good choice for our week-long stay in Portugal!

An ideal location close to restaurants and Cascais town centre which is easily walkable. The apartment is within a gated community and is ideal for families with small children. There is a superb pool for the sole use of guests. There is a n excellent bakery and supermarket within 30 seconds walk of the apartment if you don’t fancy a drive into town. The fresh fish and meat is very good, although a little expensive. The owner met us at the apartment and couldn’t do enough for us. The apartment itself has everything you could possibly need including Internet access. We would definitely come back.

We were delighted with our accommodation in Cascais. Zain was exceptionally helpful. We couldn’t recommend this more highly.

A very high quality apartment, spotlessly clean and well equipped with some nice touches including a welcome basket, toiletries, dishwasher tablets etc and plenty of towels/tea towels. The owner, Zain was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. The view from the apartments very large balcony is magnificent and it is well situated for some excellent restaurants about 5 mins walk away. There is a well stocked supermarket and bakery just across the road and a good local bus service (flat fare 70 cents) to the town centre and railway station where you can get a train to Lisbon. Would also recommend a visit to Sintra, buses go from the bus station just behind the railway station. A most enjoyable holiday and highly recommended.

We have spent 10 days in September in this wonderful apartment in Cascais. The owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly, welcoming us at the arrival and supplying not only with all the necessary information but also with a magnificent food basket and small gifts. The apartment was extremely clean, modern and tastefully decorated (including lovely flowers compositions). The location is perfect, in a secure building, within a walking distance to the harbor and centre of Cascais, a well-supplied supermarket and fantastic confectionary. It is very convenient, if you want to visit Lisboa and surrounding areas – no need to rent a car, really. The ocean view from the bedrooms and living room is terrific and we all enjoyed lovely sunshine (luckily for us, the weather was perfect all the time). We have visited a number of places in various countries so far, but this Portuguese apartment in Cascais was voted by us the best. We would definitely recommend it to everybody seeking sunshine, comfort and convenient location.

Ocean View II is perfectly situated for golf, the marina and Cascais town. The sea view is perfect with the entrance to Lisbon to the East, Cabo Espichel to the South East and the Atlantic to the West. For those who enjoy watching the sea and the ships that pass, its perfect! The cliff top walk into Cascais is a wonderful way to keep fit and enjoy the view, the Marina being about 2km away. On site secure parking is a plus point as is the 24hr concierge. The large pool is clean and well maintained. Ocean View II is a large and well-furnished apartment in very good repair. The owners take a caring interest and act immediately to put right anything that is needed. Having rented the property for almost 6 months we can strongly recommend it!

OceanView II is a MUST for families. We stayed 21st-31st July 2009, arrived very late only to be greeted by the owners, and shown into an enormous 3 bedroom 4 bathroom (yes, that’s one en suite bathroom per bedroom), and a cloakroom, with a beautiful large sitting/dining, modern kitchen, and fabulous balcony with exceptional views over the sea. The apartment is perfectly positioned for a quiet family holiday with access to all the facilities within walking distance, or to the busier town of Cascais by bus in 5 minutes and costing only 60 cents. The local restaurants are lovely, and the owners gave us great recommendations for both local and further away eating, and if like us, you want to eat breakfast and lunch in the apartment, there are great local shops to provide everything you need. The area is typically rocky so sandy beaches are either by bus to Cascais or free bikes to Guincho (yes, you can show your passport and have a free bike for the day), – take a bike lock if you want to leave them anywhere. We didn’t hire a car, and found we didn’t need one (we were a family of 5 with 3 large teenagers), the owners arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport, and the train to Lisbon is 30 minutes and 5 euros, and with the great local transport there was plenty of access to what we needed. Lastly a comment about the owners. Zain and her family did everything to help make our holiday special, the welcome basket kicked off the morning after arrival just perfectly, they checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, and sorted out some minor issues (like bulbs blown) immediately. They truly understand how to make their renters want to come back, and we would definitely come back here or to one of their other apartments. We cannot recommend this enough – all this on top of 30 degree weather, blue sky and gentle breezes – we wish we were still there!!

The flat was perfect! I enjoyed the view as well as the amenities provided I found it to be comfortable and very pleasant, even staying with people whom I did not know well. Kitchen was great, although a chopping knife or two would have been helpful. I would recommend it without reservation to anyone staying in Cascais the proximity to the market and bakery made it just that much more attractive. I felt well looked after while there – you let me know when someone would be there to clean up, etc. I would have to give the flat an overall rating of excellent and would be delighted to be able to stay there again. Thank you for being such a gracious hostess.

We had a great week in Portugal. The coastline is beautiful and despite the growth of Cascais over the past 23 years, since we were last there, it is still a lovely town. Ocean View was immaculately presented and of a high standard. On a practical note perhaps you could put a few sharp knives, coffee pot, some small breakfast bowls and large salad/pasta bowls in the kitchen.

The property was excellent and all of the party enjoyed. The complex does not have many children so perhaps this should be mentioned on the site. Also the proximity to a shop and bakery should be mentioned. We knew the area so knew what to expect. For adults it is a superior villa. The owners were exceptionally helpful at all times and made us very welcome.
